Welcome to Leigh
The community website for our Wiltshire village
Safe Leigh Church: We are delighted to report that the Raffle raised £1,085 towards the ‘Save Leigh Church’ Building Fund. We made the draw at the very well attended Christmas Carol Service and the list of prize winners is about to be published here.
Fibre Cabling: Gigaclear is now taking orders for eligible properties to be connected to their new fibre network. This promises to give residents a much faster internet speed than both the traditional copper wire and the wireless broadband options.
Abbey Skate 2020: This year's Abbey Skate is being held at Malmesbury Abbey from 19th - 21st February. Tickets and more information are available here.
Targeting Fly-tipping: Wiltshire Council has this week launched a campaign to target fly-tippers with an offer to reward up to £200 in High Street vouchers for information that leads to a prosecution. More details here.
Surviving Winter Funding: Wiltshire Community Foundation administer a Surviving Winter grant of £300 per person to help vulnerable residents pay for winter costs.
200 Club: Congratulations to January's 200 Club winner; Nigel Massey (£20) and runners-up; Nick & Ginny Williams (£10). Click here to find out more about the monthly draw, and how you can take part.
ROADS: No scheduled closures
