The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 30th January 2023 at 7pm at All Saints Church.

1. APOLOGIES

2. MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting held on the 7th November 2022 were approved and
signed.
3. REPORTS FROM WILTSHIRE COUNCIL & LOCAL POLICE
Cllr. Chuck Berry – Wiltshire Council budget has been published, it is 0.1 lower
this year, this affects spending on things such as social care which accounts for
65% of the budget. Council Tax will have to be increased for the coming year; all
services are under pressure.
4. MATTERS ARISING
a) The trees in honour of the Queens Platinum Jubilee – these have now been
planted, many thanks to all involved.
b) Enforcements – an Enforcement Officer has been out to Glevum Farm. The
Parish Council will try and put more pressure on Wiltshire Council Enforcement.
c) The members of the public present were here to express their concerns about
Glevum Farm. They were asked to write letters to Wiltshire Council and the
Enforcement Officer stating everything that they knew was happening.
d) Replacing bus shelter at Hillside – Cllr. Puttick to investigate further about
access for the disabled, at the moment passengers have to cross the road when
getting on the bus.
e) Playpark – Cllr. Rumming has filed off a couple of bolts that were sticking out
on the climbing frame.
f) Speed Indicator Device – Cllr. Baker continues to send monthly reports to John
Derryman. Cllr. Berry also asked to see the reports.

a) The insurance has been renewed for this year.

Planning Applications Received / Decisions
a) PL/2022/01437 Gryphon Lodge Farm, Leigh, SN6 6RQ,
Conversion of agricultural buildings to form a dwelling. Parish Council has no
objection. Under consultation, decision deadline date 17/03/2023
b) PL/2022/05641 – Barn Cottage, Brookside Farm, Swan Lane
Removal of Condition 2 of N/87/01539/FUL (Conversion of existing barn to
residential) to enable occupation of an annex as an independent dwelling. Under
consultation, decision date 16/09/2022 The Parish Council object to the removal
of Condition 2 but not to the conversion.
c) PL/2022/09791 - Greenacres Farm, Malmesbury Road, Leigh, Swindon, Wilts,
SN6 6RH. Proposed ground floor extensions to provide a boot room and
orangery, proposed first floor extensions to provide a boot room and orangery, proposed first floor extension over garage to provide an additional
bedroom and a farm office. Consultation deadline 31/01/2023. No objection from
Parish Council.
8. FOOTPATHS AND BRIDLEWAYS
Cllr. Thomas is trying to get more footpath signs. All land owners are encouraged
to clear any footpaths and bridleways on their land.

10. ANY OTHER BUSINESS
a) Food bank collection point – The Church Council is going to set this up at All Saints Church which will then to Cricklade foodbank. More information to follow.
b) The King’s Coronation – It was suggested that we might have a picnic tea on
the 6th May at the Church - with a short service beforehand - to celebrate the
Coronation of King Charles.
c)Two Pot holes on Waterhay Lane have been reported on the mywilts app.
