MINUTES:


The Minutes of the meeting held on the 26th January 2026 at 6.30pm at All Saints Church.

1. APOLOGIES

3. REPORT FROM WILTSHIRE COUNCIL & LOCAL POLICE


4. MINUTES

The Minutes held on 24th November 2025 were approved and signed.


5. NEW ITEMS

a) Insurance renewal 1st February, 3yr plan taken out last year.


6. MATTERS ARISING

a) Speed review on B4696 – waiting for a report from LHFIG. More signage is needed.


b) Westfields – Clerk to contact enforcement regarding use of agricultural building, also regarding a barn being built at Glevum Farm.


c) A safety check was carried out by Cllr. Beechey-Torres on the defibrillator, all in good order.


d) Clerk’s salary review – It was proposed by Cllr. Beechey-Torres and seconded by Cllr. West and was agreed by all that the clerk could have a 4.75% pay rise.


e) Elancity Warranty – Clerk to sign agreement form for the invoice.

Wiltshire Council, weekly news email. PCC newsletter. Insurance reminder, Parish Steward – delaying works until the end of January. WALC newsletter, Malmesbury LHFIG meeting. Email from Jo Howse regarding building of a barn at Glevum Farm.

a) PL/2025/08380 Willows Field, Malmesbury Road, SN6 6RH. Erection of single storey rear extension. Under consultation.

b) PL2025/04154 Land North of Cross Lanes Farm, Waterhay Lane, SN6 6QY The erection of a new dwelling, studio building, stable building, field shelter and creation of new access with associated landscaping. Under consultation.

PL/2025/00452 Land at 20 Malmesbury Rd. Leigh SN66RH Erection of one dwelling. Dismissed.

PL2025/03873 – Waterhay Barn. Waterhay Lane SN6 6QY Erection of one self/custom build, wheelchair accessible dwelling. Refused 18 th July 2025.

9. FOOTPATHS AND BRIDLEWAYS

a) Footpath gate is broken and the sign is missing opposite Leigh Hall Farm.

b) The style by the Chancel is rickety, Cllr. Rumming is going to try and repair it.

c) Cllr. Beechey-Torres has reported the footpath at Greenacres.

11. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a) Cllr. Beechey-Torres has reported a large pothole on the B4696 by the traffic lights.

b) We have had complaints regarding the mud on the footpath and the grass being churned up outside no.8 Hillside – clerk to investigate it.
