Is 2026 the new 'Autumn 2025'?

To be clear, I am NOT claiming the publication of the Future Homes Standard has been delayed...

BUT, the Government's standard response about its release date has changed recently from 'Autumn 2025' to 'in the coming months'.

And while it's true to say December is both a 'coming month' and part of 'Autumn 2025', I get the feeling this can is being kicked into the New Year.

Hopefully we'll still get the first release of the Home Energy Model in the coming weeks, even if the new Approved Document Part L and full FHS response don't arrive in the Christmas mail. 🤞

Has the Future Homes Standard can been kicked down the road into 2026? If it's not published in the next few weeks, that will give us our answer.
